Agenor Mafra-Neto is a chemical ecology researcher and entrepreneur in the field of entomology. He is the CEO and founder of ISCA Technologies, a company specialized in the development of semiochemical solutions for pest management, robotic smart traps and nanosensors. He is also the research director of this company, which he founded in 1996 in Riverside, California. He came to the United States from Brazil in 1988 and received his PhD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship with Thomas C. Baker at Iowa State University in Ames, and has worked at the University of Alfenas, the University of São Paulo Ribeirao Preto, Western Carolina University and the University of California at Riverside. Mafra-Neto is known for his work in insect chemical targeting, both in basic and applied research.
