Carlos Espinel
Colombian biologist and entomologist
He has specialized in the search, isolation, characterization and evaluation of entomopathogenic microorganisms, such as viruses, fungi and bacteria on different types of pests of agricultural interest. After obtaining his degree in biology from the Pontificia U. Javeriana, he obtained his M.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences from UNAL and a Ph.D. in Sciences from the École Nationale de Mines de Saint-Étienne (France). Today he works as a researcher in biological control of agricultural pests in the state organization Agrosavia.
