Dr. Rodrigo Lasa Covarrubias

Rodrigo is a technical engineer in horticulture, fruit growing and gardening and a senior agronomist engineer from the Public University of Navarra, Spain. He later completed his PhD at the Laboratory of Applied Entomology and Insect Pathology of the same University in 2007. He is currently a senior researcher in the Biorational Pest and Vector Management Network of the Ecology Institute AC in Xalapa, Veracruz. 

Among its main lines of research are the optimization and innovation of monitoring systems for fruit flies and other dipteran pests, including the development of trap devices and new attractants. He also works on the optimization and development of control systems using toxic baits, bait stations and mass trapping systems.
