Dra Susana Solis Gaona is Agronomist in Soils, Doctorate in Agricultural Parasitology and Diplomate in Protected Agriculture. Since 1999, she has been working in private companies and Centers of Research dedicated to R & D of Sustainable Solutions for Farmers. She joined UPL in 2009 as Researcher, then, in 2012, she was postdoctoral associate in linked project with National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the Applied Chemistry Research Center (2012 -2013), when she returned to UPL (Arysta) in 2013 August, she started scientific studies to test efficacy and demonstrate the mode of action of Plant Biostimulants, in collaborative research projects with Universities of Agricultural and Molecular Biology, at date, in consequence of these studies, have been described the modes of action at the level of gene expression, metabolomics and agronomical benefits for more than 7 biostimulants with different positioning in the market.
Cuenta con 20 años en R&D de productos para uso en nutrición, bioestimulación y protección vegetal, con orientación al mercado de agricultura sustentable o de bajo impacto ambiental negativo. Desde 2012, la Dra Solis ha realizado investigación científica que demuestra la bioestimulación natural de cultivos a nivel de expresión de genes, en vinculación con centros de investigación académicos. Además de colaborar con el CIQA y UAAAN de Saltillo, Coahuila, en docencia y la formación de recursos humanos. Actualmente, la Dra. Solis-Gaona es Gerente de Investigación Agrobiológica de UPL México.
