José Manuel Pérez-Donoso

He holds a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Santiago de Chile (USACH) and a PhD in Microbiology (USACH–University of Chile), with postdoctoral training at the University of Western Ontario (Canada) and USACH. With over 20 years of research experience, he has published more than 86 scientific articles, filed 9 patents (3 granted in the U.S., India, and Chile), and led over 20 research projects, including collaborations with the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and DARPA (U.S. Department of Defense). He has served as a professor and researcher at UNAB, the University of Chile, and USACH. He is currently the CEO of Pewman Innovation SpA, a Chilean company dedicated to developing sustainable biotechnological solutions to address challenges in agriculture, the environment, and health.
