
Dr. Felipe Gainza
R&D&I Leader in Molecular Biology, Research and Innovation Center, Concha y Toro
He holds a degree in Biotechnology Engineering and a Ph.D. in Sciences with a specialization in Plant Genetic Engineering from the University of Talca, with postdoctoral training at the University of California, Davis. He has extensive experience managing public and private research projects, integrating cutting-edge science with sustainable practices to address climate change challenges in viticulture. He currently leads the Genetic Resources and Plant Health area at the Research and Innovation Center of Viña Concha y Toro, developing R&D projects in molecular diagnostics, genetic improvement, and the use of beneficial microorganisms to enhance grapevine productivity and resilience.
