She holds a degree in Microbiology and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the National University of Río Cuarto (UNRC), Argentina. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology and an Independent Researcher at the Institute of Agrobiotechnology Research (INIAB) of CONICET. Over the past 15 years, her work has focused on the study of antimicrobial compounds, specifically bacteriocins produced by native soil bacteria, exploring their potential applications in agriculture. She leads a pioneering research group on this topic at the National University of Río Cuarto.
