Dr. Arturo Calderón Orellana
Professor and Researcher, Faculty of Agronomy, University of Concepción
He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis (USA), specializing in water relations of fruit crops and vineyards, particularly the physiological and productive responses to water stress. His research approach integrates plant physiology, agronomic management, and plant–microorganism interactions to develop sustainable strategies for addressing both water scarcity and water excess in high-value fruit crops. He is currently a Professor and Researcher at the Faculty of Agronomy, University of Concepción, and has also served as an international consultant in Argentina, Guatemala, Peru, and the USA, contributing sustainable solutions to climate change challenges in fruit production.
