He holds a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Granada, Spain. A specialist in biofertilization and bioremediation using rhizospheric fungi, he is currently a researcher at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) at the Estación Experimental del Zaidín in Granada. He is the author of more than 50 scientific and technical publications and co-author of two CSIC patents commercialized by the spin-off company Mycovitro, which he co-founded.
